Newspaper Theatre
In this body of work, I used still life as an entry point. Gradually elements of the original still life transformed themselves… pomegrenates turned into ‘pomegrenades’ or Molotov cocktails, bottles turned into iconic buildings of the City of London(Gherkin, Stock Exchange, Citi Bank…) My studio shelf turned into London Bridge… London Bridge became a stage… upon this stage a kind of ‘Newspaper Theatre’ played out which comments on, interrupts and reshapes fragments of collaged newspaper narrative.
